We left the Marina at ST. Mary's after a nice night except it was cold! It was a two blanket night! The run into Georgia was a bit different. First, we only passed under two bridges. That is significantly less than Florida. Second, The scenery was more like the salt flats we were used to seeing in the North and we only saw a few houses. The marinas were less frequent. The channels tend to meander rather than go mostly North. Therefore we only did about 45 miles North even though we traveled 61 miles. We still saw many porpoise. The channels were also not marked as well as those in Florida. We were also crossing several inlets so the opportunity for shoaling was significant. On some of the rivers they even used range markers to help boaters stay in the channels. When we got near the end of the day we found there weren't any marinas nearby so we anchored in a small deep water creek just off of the ICW. There were two other boats anchored nearby. Boundless is doing well! We typically travel inside the enclosed cockpit. It is comfortable staying out of the wind. With the sun it is very nice. Today there wasn't any sun so it was a bit chilly. The cockpit is very comfortable for several people on extended runs. We let the autopilot do most of the steering. We use the autopilot remote control for fine tuning and to follow the frequent changes in direction of the channel. With the large battery bank we don't need to plug into shore power at the marinas so we save a few dollars. Boundless makes travel easy.
