February 12th-13th

The exact time it took us to go from Cape Verde to Antigua was 15 days and 6 
1/2 hours!!!

It was good to reach land and to know that our trip is 3/5 done!  We have a 
week to go to Florida and another week to go to North Carolina.  We will be 
dropping Shawn and Jon off in Puerto Rico to catch their plane back to the 
states and their jobs!!!  Today we are on our way to Tortola which is 180 nm 
away!!!

We were welcomed to the Caribbean with rain, fog, confused seas and winds (25 
knots)!!!  This is not the Caribbean I remember!!!  We all decided not to go to 
Green Island in Nonsuch Bay and our favorite restaurant called Harmony Hall 
because of the weather.  So we went to our second favorite restaurant called 
Abracadabra in English Harbor.  Sirius picked me up in their dinghy and Rudy 
was picked up in Trigger's dinghy.  Shawn and Jon went with Sirius earlier to 
walk around and stayed to wait for us there.  We had a great dinner and laughs 
and it felt good talking to other people and seeing faces to the voices that we 
only heard on the radio.

On the 13th, Rudy and I woke up at 7 a.m., jumped into our clothes and pulled 
the anchor!!!  We were off at 7:10 a.m. We had good winds on a beam reach so we 
put all three sails!!  We were on our way to Tortola where we will be getting 
fuel and food since everything was closed until Monday and we didn't want to 
wait until then to start moving again.
